Election and Annual Meeting of the Credit Union
Annual Meeting
The 62nd Annual Meeting of the Credit Union is scheduled for Thursday, April 2nd, 2009, in The World Bank’s J-Building Auditorium, 1-050, 701-18th Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. The meeting will begin at 3:00 p.m.

Board of Directors Election
The terms of three members of the Board of Directors will expire in 2009. The election of Directors to fill these positions is conducted online and by mail ballot, and the results will be announced at the Annual Meeting.

In accordance with the Bylaws, members are elected to the Board of Directors by ballot. All members of the Credit Union at least 16 years old are eligible to vote. Ballots will be counted prior to the annual meeting and the results will be announced at that meeting. This year there are three Director positions to be filled; therefore, the three candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected to three-year terms.

Nomination by Petition
Nominations may be made by petition. Any petition for nomination must be submitted to the Secretary of the Board of Directors, c/o Bank-Fund Staff Federal Credit Union, Room MC C2-300, at the World Bank by close of business, Friday, February 6, 2009. The following items must be provided for nomination by petition:
  1. A petition signed by at least one percent of the Credit Union’s members with a maximum of 500. Signatures will be verified by the Credit Union and, for this purpose, each member signing a petition must print their name and Credit Union account number beside or under their signature.


  2. Information on the nominee in the following format, which has been approved by the Board of Directors: Name; Present Employer; Number of Years as a Credit Union Member; Education; Work Experience; and, in 50 words or less, please tell us why you wish to serve on the Board of Directors.
The names of all nominees will be posted in the lobby of the Credit Union by Friday, February 20th, 2009. Ballot and voting information will be mailed to members by Friday, February 27th, 2009.
