BFSFCU wants to help you build your retirement income and help you realize your retirement goals and dreams. That is why we offer both Traditional and Roth Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs).
You may still benefit for the 2007 tax year if you open an IRA between now and April 15th.
Members who file U.S. income tax returns and have earned income may contribute to an Individual Retirement Account (IRA).
IRA contributions may be tax-deductible* depending upon:
- Participation in an employer-maintained retirement plan
- Adjusted gross income
Dividends on IRAs are tax-deferred. BFSFCU offers a 12-month variable-rate IRA and a 36-month fixed-rate IRA; each requires a minimum deposit of $100.
