Elections for four open seats for the Credit Union's Board of Directors were held during the month of March. Board President George W. West was presented with the official results of the election at the Annual Meeting.
The Board was pleased to announce that the three candidates receiving the highest number of votes, and thus elected to serve three-year terms, were:
- Stephanie Von Friedeburg
- John M. Underwood
- David Ordoobadi
Receiving the next highest number of votes, and thus elected to serve a one-year term was: In accordance with the Bank-Fund Staff Federal Credit Union Bylaws, members are elected to the Board of Directors by ballot. All members of the Credit Union at least 16 years of age are eligible to vote in Board Elections.
Election year 2008 marked the second year that the option for voting members to cast ballots online was available as an alternative to the traditional paper ballot. Online ballots accounted for approximately one third of all votes cast, an increase of approximately 5% from last year.
Many thanks to all of the candidates who stood for election, and to all of the Credit Union members who participated in the voting process. |
