BFSFCU will not trade, rent or sell your personal information, including e-Mail addresses – to anyone. The following are some of the stringent processes we enforce to help protect your personal and account information:
- Protocols and Permissions: We understand that you expect a high level of customer service and security. In meshing these two requirements, we have limited access to your information and the ability to manipulate and alter information and / or perform transactions on your behalf to a select few BFSFCU employees who are possess prior permission, proper training, and necessary credentials to serve you better.
- Office and Branch security: BFSFCU has implemented industry-standard security methods for protecting our computers, networks, and datacenters from unauthorized access and/or emergencies.
- Data Security: Routine evaluation of the security practices used to maintain data security via software patches for the operating systems and applications and access to these resources.
- Data Backup: Routine backup and restore testing for all critical systems and networks to ensure minimal downtime in the event of an emergency.
- Security Audits: We are subject to regular external and internal IT security evaluation by our government regulator (NCUA), an independent external auditor, and an internal auditor. We also routinely engage expert security professionals to conduct real-life penetration attempts against all or our systems.
