To help keep your accounts even more secure, we now offer Enhanced Authentication for Online Banking through Two-Step Verification.
In situations when additional verification is needed, after entering your user name and password, you will be sent a one-time security code to your preferred phone number through either text or voice message. Enter this code where indicated and this will complete your verification.
Follow the steps below:
Phone-based enhanced authentication is optional, but highly recommended since in the near future it will become a requirement. Please note that once you enroll in Enhanced Authentication, you will no longer be presented with security questions for additional identity verification within Online Banking.
Enhanced Authentication is a Two-Step Verification system that uses your designated phone number as an extra layer of security to help keep your account safe from hackers or unauthorized users who may have your username and/or password.
BFSFCU will send you verification messages free of charge. However, please note that standard wireless carrier message and data rates may apply for text messages.
You can set up one or multiple phones to receive your one-time security codes. Your code can be sent as a text message to a mobile phone, or by voice message to a land-line or mobile phone.
Yes, you can use international phone numbers to receive security codes. Please note that standard wireless carrier message and data rates may apply for text messages.
If your international carrier does not support SMS, please choose to be authenticated by voice call when setting up your enhanced authentication within Online Banking Self Service.
Your unique security code is only good for three minutes and can only be used once. If you run out of time, you can request a new code to be sent to you.
