April 5, 2020 marks the 48th anniversary of the Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run, and the 19th year of Credit Union sponsorship. This race has evolved from a small family run with 141 finishers into a race featuring record-setting performances by the finest runners in the world.
This event raises funds for the Children’s Miracle Network, which in turn helps over 17 million kids annually in 170 Children’s Hospitals nationwide. Bank-Fund Staff Federal Credit Union is proud to be among the credit unions that are title sponsors of this world-class road race.

The ten mile race starts on 15th Street, next to the Washington Monument. Elite runners start at 7:18 a.m. The general race starts at 7:30 a.m. The course is only open for a maximum of 2 hours, 20 minutes after the 7:30 a.m. start.
If you feel that you cannot complete the course in this time limit, we encourage you to participate in the 5K fun run/walk.
In addition to the ten mile run, a 5K fun run/walk will take place at 9 a.m. following the start of the ten mile race. No dogs, strollers, skates or headphones are allowed in the 5K. The 5K is limited to individuals who have preregistered, so you must register for the event to participate. And, for children aged 6 through 12, there will also be a non competitive fun run, with registration on race day morning.
