Our 1725 I Street NW location remains open to assist members with lending needs and pressing account transactions from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (appointments are highly recommended). Due to limited access at sponsor group facilities and to protect our members and staff, the Credit Union branches at MC, IMF, and IFC are temporarily closed.

NCUA Insurance is Peace of Mind for You

We know that some things can feel uncertain right now, so we want you to know that your deposits are one thing you can be confident about. They’re safe and secure at BFSFCU. Here’s why.

We are a Federal Credit Union, which means that your deposits are automatically protected by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund – up to $250,000 per individual depositor. No credit union member has ever lost even a single penny of insured savings at a federally insured credit union.

At BFSFCU we have always taken a prudent and conservative approach to the management of your credit union and its finances. We are strongly positioned and prepared to weather turmoil like the current pandemic while serving your needs.

How can we assist you?

If you’ve been financially impacted by the current COVID-19 crisis, we encourage you to call 202-212-6400 or email so we can help.
