General Questions

Absolutely not! Once our member you are always our member, wherever you are. Just make sure you keep your accounts active and update your contacts.

You can keep your accounts active by making small transactions. For example, you can transfer a few dollars from Checking to Savings or from Savings to Checking once a month.

An account is considered dormant when there has been no member initiated activity for 12 months. This means you haven’t actively used the account, even though it may remain open and continue to earn dividends.

If an account stays dormant for an extended period, state law requires the credit union to transfer the funds to the state as unclaimed property. This process, known as escheatment, typically occurs after three years with no member initiated activity.

Savings are important, but access to credit can serve as a back up for unexpected or urgent expenses, providing flexibility and peace of mind when you need it most. At BankFund, we offer credit cards with global acceptance, as well as personal loans and line of credit with flexible terms, online applications, and fast approvals, so support is available wherever you are.
